2012 Home and Garden Tour Preview Party

Footprints and Blueprints, the Garden Oaks 2012 Home & Garden Tour, will kick off Saturday, April 21st with a casual, self-guided tour of the six spectacular homes and one of the remarkable gardens featured this year. One of the fun benefits of attending the Home Tour Preview Party is the chance to stroll through the homes and gardens at leisure, visiting with the homeowners, generous sponsors and tireless volunteers who make this event happen! The homes will be held open for those attending the party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, April 21st.
The Preview Party then continues at the Bell Tower, 901 W. 34th St, from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m. that same evening. A fabulous dinner menu will be selected starting with appetizers of assorted cheeses and seasonal fruit. Mixed greens salad will be followed by seared beef tenderloin served with spicy Italian parsley, garlic and olive oil sauce, plus a pan-seared chicken breast with capers, tomatoes and fresh basil with suga rosa sauce, all accompanied by Grilled Vegetable Tava. Three drink tickets for wine, beer or well drink selections are included with each ticket. Complimentary Valet Parking will be provided as well.
If you have not had the opportunity to experience the wonderful ambience of the Bell Tower yet, you should not miss this event! There will be two levels of seating for the celebration: a reserved table of 10, and individual tickets. Reserved tables of 10, either inside in the wine cellar building, or outside in the water wall area, are available for $1,250. Exterior seating in the serene water wall garden area is $100 per individual ticket.
Exciting silent auction items will be available for viewing and bidding throughout dinner. As always, our guests of honor, our wonderful homeowners and sponsors, will be introduced to all in attendance. It will be a great opportunity to meet those who so generously step up to help make Garden Oaks this city’s best kept and greenest secret!
The auction committee will have an unbelievable array of auction items for the 2012 celebration! A fabulous Hill Country weekend getaway, wine dinners, photography packages, original artwork, dinners for two (or ten) and so much more will be auctioned off at this year’s event. A live auction for several of the night’s most coveted items will follow dinner.
Seating for this year’s event will be limited to 200 in the wine cellar/waterwall areas of the Bell Tower. It will be a magical night of Footprints and Blueprints in Garden Oaks.
